Tonight has been pretty much like every other Friday in October of 2023, with our team from Street Cars 101 Magazine had our final meeting for our trip to Las Vegas, NV for SEMA. For those of you who do not know what SEMA is: This is the biggest Automotive event in the world today. The Las Vegas Convention Center is turned into a vast ocean of some of the finest cars, trucks and motorcycles in the world today, along with a sea of vendors of every type of accessory that you could imagine for any type of vehicle that you can think of.
We spoke about our strategies for covering this monumental event. There are so many things going on and so many people to speak with, interview and photograph. Some of the interviews and photographs are going to be once in a lifetime opportunities. We have all been gearing up for this event. A few of us have been in talks and preparations for the last few months. Just conversing about the upcoming days bring thoughts of fear, excitement, and exhilaration all in one. Am I prepared? Do I have everything? Have I forgotten anything? All of this goes through your mind a thousand times a day.
We are so looking forward to getting to Las Vegas and getting started. In some instances we will be working as a cohesive unit and in other instances we will be working individually on our assigned tasks. We will do this during our time to put together a product that we as a unit can all be proud to show the world. With our adventure looming on the horizon, thoughts of the movie Mortal Kombat come to mind. A conversation between Prince Goro and Kano, and Kano quoting Shang Tsung saying "Treasure these moments". When you given such a great opportunity, you must be obsessed to be great.
